Accelerated computing is a huge benefit for data centres as it can make data centres more efficient and sustainable because of the amount of energy it saves. Nvidia is the biggest company so far in accelerated computing. Nvidia can make the whole computing system at a data centre level and this includes chip architecture to advanced networking to acceleration libraries. In 2024 they introduced 2 more products one of which is a library which lets customer increase the performance of their GPU’s. Their second product was a new way to package and deliver their AI softwares. These products just add to Nvidia’s stack of solutions that they offer. They have an ecosystem of more than 5 million developers an d 40000 companies. Their CUDA is a base for 1600 gen AI companies. They have a lot of solutions for medicare also that allow health companies to generate AI models for drugs and their computing systems are turbocharging breakthroughs. Multiple healthcare companies are also coming to Nvidia to ask them to help find them a better way of doing something. Their AI weather tracker can help save millions of life and even help with climate change because of how much more accurate it is. They are also looking for ways to improve the driving sector and with their new breakthrough they invented a software which can help with the AI car transformation. In 2025 and beyond every Mercedes Benz will include Nvidia new technology. Nvidia also has training simulators for robots which is being used by over 1.2 million developers to create AI driven robots. With Nvidia’s omniverse developers can easier develop digital twins for almost any industrial application. Blackwell which is Nvidia’s AI platform is supposed to be the most powerful platform which will help them a lot to grow. CPU growth has slowed down with more and more software developers preferring to use Nvidia’s accelerated computing system. It is an also a great way to save money because 2 of Nvidia’s computers which cost 500k can do the same that 1000 CPU which cost 10 million can do. In 2015 AlexNat won a contest because of the finding of deep learning for cameras which allow cameras to identify patterns and predict stuff. Within 5 years every computer vision achieved superhuman object recognition capabilities. After recognising the potential Nvidia reinvented computing to fit with AI and then became a data centre scale company. Now Nvidia is an expert at every computing layer. They built all their platforms on AI to create new markets in already existing industries. They were partnered with almost every AI company and then ChatGPT came and acted as a catalyst to the gen AI market. Generative AI uses LLM (Large language modelling) which lets it take any prompt and make an image of it. It’s not even just words it can be of an amino acid sequence also. Because of how advanced it has became a lot of countries are making infrastructure based on AI like AI factories. In 2024 Revenue grew by 126 percent and EPS grew by 586 percent witnessing record high growth. Full year data center revenue was up by 217 percent with full year gaming revenue up by 15 percent. Because of all the expansion there remains around 2 trillion dollar worth of data centre the needs to be accelerated. Because of all the demand Nvidia created Blackwell which is the most advance GPU-accelerated system and major companies like amazon, google, meta are already starting to adopt it and are expected to roll out products that incorporate it later in the year. Blackwell’s capabilities are amazing with it being able to go through and compile data faster then any other system and its able to do anything faster and better. Because of Gen AI enterprises are suddenly a market for Nvidia. Nvidia enterprise software is based around helping enterprises increase productivity and operational efficiency by using AI. Nvidia’s is also looking to transfer its AI computing into PC to help gamers with better graphics. GeForce NOW had an excellent year with more then 1900 games and more then 30 million daily gamers. The automated car industry will also benefit a lot from AI as instead of using a software they are using AI which can be much better in safety terms. Because of this Nvidia’s Drive software is also doing very good because of the way it can help in safety and customer experience. Manufacturing is the largest industry in the world and with Nvidia’s omnivores it becomes so much easier for big companies like Siemens to plan everything in a virtual world and then finally just replicate it in the real world. With robotics just around the corner Nvidia’s has already generated a lot of things to help robots like a place to train them and also the LLM for robots so that they can do the actions them self. This sector of robotics has the potential to became the biggest sector. Overview: Nvidia is a AI based company which has incorporated AI into chips which are being used world wide for many different industries like Automobile, biology and more. They also provide GPUs and have an extensive focus on accelerated computing. A decade ago they started reinventing computing to make it completely corporate with AI. Gen AI has proved a catalyst to their growth. Accelerated computing is a great thing for data centres because of how energy efficient it is. Personal thoughts. I think it is a great model because of the role AI is going to play in the future as one of the main catalysts of growth. I think that despite the company growing so much there definitely is more space for them to grow into. Robots are going to be a very interesting sector for them. I like how they identified the potential of AI before the whole world did. I like how what they have done can cater to so many industries and how they can play such a big role in the next decade because of digitalisation and everything.
