ZEN tech Overview
They have had outstanding growth in the last year with their revenue up by 167 percent and their PAT up by 243 percent. They provide training and counter drone solutions and anti drone systems. They also do exports and they are trying to became a global trusted partner. Their simulators provide realistic and cost effective environments while their anti drone system address the threat of unmanned aerial weapons. They are the leading company in their job of trying and counter drones solutions and anti drone systems. They have simulators for many things such as tanks, gunnery, and flight training. These simulators have been designed to replicate the real world. Their tracking system is also one of the best in the industry. They have applied for a total of 155 patents which show how committed they are and how they are one of the technological leaders in the defence sector. They offer their products over 3 vertical which are training solutions (This is many things like live ranges to virtual ranges and combat training), counter drone solutions and operational equipment. For the live ranges they use their in house developed smart software which is a smart target system. This means it is easy to set any whereas it is light weight and user friendly. The whole thing is controlled by a master control system so it has no operational issues. Their training system is used to simulate close and tight and inclosed fights. The simulation also offer tank and air to ground weapons delivery. For their live simulators they offer 4 things which are armour combat training system, indoor tracking system, tactical engagement system, and hand grenade simulators. Their virtual simulator allows a group of people to be trained simultaneaously and they offer lots of products which help military to improve their driving skills, Air defence and attack skills, observation skills and ground fighting skills and many more. Their combat training centre can simulate a lot of things from both offence and defence like ground manoeuvre, air strikes, fire and more. With their subsidiary AI Turing they have been able to launch 4 new products which are Hawkeye which basically is a drone detection system. Their ultralight remote controlled weapon system which is the lightest weapon system and can be put on ground vehicles and naval vessels. They launched a robodog that can be armed and excels at planning navigation and threat assessment. They also developed a new sight which can be mounted on top of armoured vehicles and guns. For their operational equipment they have a few things ShooteEdge is their system for shooting around corners and works with pistols which allow the bullet to go up to a 65 degree angle so the person is not exposed while shooting around a corner. Drones pose a great threat because of the real time monitoring and surveillance it allows. Recognising this problem Zen tech are trying to build a solution which can counter drones. Their solutions detect, classify and track them and then stop the threat by jamming communications. Government focus and the introduction of their Indigenously designed, developed and manufactured products have let them grow a lot in 24. There are lots of industry factors which are expected to grow the defence sector to new heights. There has also been an increasing focus on simulator based training. Favourable policies and global recognition of the threat drones face have allowed sent echoes got be better positioned to sell their anti drone solutions. They are very excited for the export opportunities with India becoming a reliable defence partner many global countries are tying up with Indian defence companies. Their simulator based training is also going to reduce the total amount of co2 admission cause by military training. They want to keep a CAGR for 50 percent and some thing that are going to help them on their journey is the easy policies and the make in India program which should boost their IDDM stuff. Their recent acquisition in AI Turing further enhances their capabilities. Interest in training has bee increased since the Russia and Ukraine war. With the rise of counter drone systems and ZEN tech identifying this problem as early as 2018 makes sure that they are positioned to gain a lot. They have also expanding their reach into autonomous AI robotic operations. Some strategic focus area include expanding their product portfolio, enhancing export potential, capitalise on regulatory tailwinds, focus on training simulators and advancing counter drone systems. The global defence industry has witnessed robust growth due to many factors such as heightened geopolitical tensions, technological advancements, importance of space and cyber dominance and more. Some key trends which will keep the market growing includes increased focus on multi domain weapons, rise in autonomous and unmanned systems, adoption of AI and ML, focus on simulations and training systems and many more. The Indian defence sector has transferred over the past few years with the government of India wanting self resilience in this sector, this means that there is a lot of opportunity for defence companies. The budget for defence has also gone up significantly since last year. Exports in this area have also been rising with the government wanting more exports. Some challenges to the sector includes long procurement times and better established global players. Simulator based training is gaining traction because of the technological advancements and the need to be ready. Overall simulations offer realistic environment because of tech advancements, cost efficiency and less materials used, enhanced training and effectiveness, flexibility and accessibility and it is better for the environment and soldiers safety. Many countries including India have recognised the potential in simulators and have been implementing it. They also have a huge opportunity in counter drones as they specialise in it and the growth in that is just begging as countries are starting to see the impact that drones have. Overview. Zen tech is a leading private defence company in India that specialises in defence training & counter drone solutions and anti-drone systems. Their simulators are of the latest technology and make it feel realistic. They acquired a company called AI Turing and with it they have launched a few new products. Their simulator can simulate many things like tanks driving, gunnery, and flight simulators, as well as comprehensive anti-drone systems designed to detect, track, and neutralise hostile drones. Personal thoughts. I think that Zen Tech is a very good company as the defence sector is one that India will continue to focus on for a long time especially because of all the geopolitical tensions going around now. Another reason is because the government of India is trying to reduce dependancy on other countries and wants it to be made in India. I like how they do not do much of the manufacturing of machinery and focus on the technological side because the manufacturing can cost a lot of money. Also if like a product does not work from a manufacture that is it they are done. But like with the training and simulations it’s not like that because it is training and not the actual thing. Of course their products will still need to be good. I think it is also a more over looked sector and not many people focus on it. I like how they identified very early on that drones are going to cause a problem and know have a very strong portfolio for drones.
