Data patterns Overview

They have a good place and specialise in the defence sector and they focus on specifically Radars, Electronic Warfare, Communication Systems and Avionics. They do everything from designing the product all the way to delivering the product. Their amazing technical efficiency is one of the reasons why they have gotten so strong growth. All their products are designed in house and they are one of the few companies which has presence all over the board for the defence sector which means their products are suitable for air sea and land. Because of the sector that they are in innovation is something that is very important and they have made a very strong R&D team for product innovation for both land and air. This commitment has already resulted in better products which have been specifically tailored for defence needs. They have been strengthening their position in India also and are looking for ways to boost their exports. The Indian defence sector is trying to reduce supply from foreign suppliers and that is supported by data patterns with everything made in India and in house. They also say that the government is actively pushing for more private defence companies to get involved as they will be needed for more and more things as times advances. They have enhanced their facilities to make most of them a one stop were everything happens. Last year they did something were they though of themself at a pit stop which is basically when they stop and review. They believe that quality managing is needed if they want to continue to grow. They also have a robust it structure which is needed when a business is in the defence and aerospace industry.

Global market is supposed to grow slower then the Indian market and that means an opportunity for companies in the Indian market to grow fast. The Indian market is also expected to became one of the top 3 economies over the next decade. Few things that are going to help the defence sector is major budget changes with the defence sector supposed to receive more then it ever has. Also government PLI schemes and stuff like that are going to benefit the defence sector. The government has also established that the defence and aerospace sector is the main target of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat project. The export defence sector is supposed to witness a 21 percent CAGR from 2023 to 2030. There is also a large focus on indigenisation which is supposed to lead to double digit growth in the defence segment. One of the main growth drivers that the defence segment is witnessing is government help or government policies easing up for ease of business for them. The government is also more focused on this sector than almost any other sector. Overall the Indian market seems to focus on the defence sector a lot especially the government easing things for them there. This is going to foster a strong period of growth for a lot of the companies there.

Summary

Data patterns is one of the fastest growing defense companies with more then 3 decades of experience and the design everything in house which means that they have a significant competitive edge compared to their competitors. Their main products are ATE, Radars, Electronic Warfare, Communication Systems and Avionics. They have a very good backbone in the business thanks to their experience. Government policies are supposed to help all the defence companies a lot.

Personal thoughts

I think since the government is such a big factor maybe the PSU defence companies might fare better but with that being said I think I liked Data Patterns as a company more than BEL. Overall as a segment I think that the defence segment is one that will always grow because of the changing tech and the importance of strong defence and This also leads to a strong export opportunity.
